A New Adventure

I have decided to venture with a friend of mine to Tibet for the next seven years. I cannot divulge my friends identity, but he may have robbed a gas station, a couple convenience stores, liquor stores...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the experiences this climbing expedition will offer. Did I mention we'll be mountain climbing? My skills are rusty, but I think I can keep up. Which reminds me of a few things I mustn't forget to pack.

This is a last minute sort of thing so I need to focus on preparing. I look forwarding to blogging about my experiences seven years from now. Until then, I leave you all with this:

Never lick a stiff horse in the mouth.

One More for a Good Friend

A good friend of mine and a contributor to my studies sent me this quote and I was so touched that I must share it.

And the king of Israel went out, and smote the horses

Sasquatch: The Modern Day Horse

This may sound strange, but men have been disguising themselves as horses since before we even knew what horses looked like. The horse was once the Sasquatch of civilization. (Of course once we proved the horse to be real and decided to ride him and let him teach us everything we now know, we in fact did move on to Big Foot.)

We were obsessed with this beast and today some of us are insatiable for the horse's pseudo-divine insights.

Beware of your own desires. They're probably your inner self attempting once again to become a horse.

Three Quotes More

As you can see I've been spending some time in my Bible lately. I will conclude this jaunt with the following just to set the record straight:

Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding
-Psalm 32:9

With you I break in pieces the horse
-Jeremiah 51:21

And Joshua did to them just as the Lord said to him: he hamstrung the horses
-Joshua 11:9

Psalm 20:7

The idea of trusting in an automobile more than in the creator of the universe seems laughable at first consideration. But consider again. We trust in the things of Brahma more than in Brahma himself. We seek teachers of worldly wisdom without seeking God. We have use for houses and cars and chariots and whatever else we may poses normally, but we need Svayambhu—that is The Self-Born.

Some trust in Gurus, Masters, Teachers, Rabbis, Imams, Preachers, and more. And these are very helpful people who have dedicated their lives to a higher purpose, but we should follow their lead, not them. They help us, but we need Assamad—that is The Eternal Self-Sufficient.

I repeat this because it is very easily overlooked and more easily pseudo-comprehended. "Sure, sure, of course," we all say. "It's common sense."

It is not common sense or we would honor Jehovah—that is The Self-Existent Eternal, whom we need—more than the houses and cars and jewelry and chariots, and more than teachers and masters and preachers and, yes, horses ("enlightened" or otherwise).

If this were common sense we would think on and strive for the one who truly provides for us—that is provides our breath, and even our bones, our mind, and our soul, our very Aatman; Our spirit. Without which cars and chariots and houses and teachers and gurus and horses do not even come into consideration for their lack of value and worth.

I leave you with this from the psalms of David, son of Jesse.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Jehovah our God.
-Psalm 20:7

Isa Masiha and the Pavitr Aatma

I will tell you a case of a man back home in Payvihir, forty-five years old – a pagan, Hmong immigrant, illiterate, who knew nothing about Masiha.

Then he was brought by grace, through the preaching of the Christians, into the presence of Isa and Him crucified; and that man was so changed that within a month, when impure thoughts came into his heart he literally went outside from a meeting and vomited.

What a standard, what sensitivity!

A man steeped in paganism, with no book training, no background. And now in the light of Isa Masiha, in that smashing, invading love, this man is taken, re-created, renewed, his conscience is so clean that when impure thoughts came he even went and physically vomited. A sensitivity had been created. The Holy Aatma had renewed the personality.

Is this your case?

I find after I have gone on with the Lord, sometimes I grow insensitive. But the impact of the Holy Aatma, the impact of the renewal, is that you begin to move with that sensitive tact in the heart.

If it is jealousy, don’t you think the time has come when you can say, ‘My heart has been renewed, and I am going to write a letter to that person and ask for forgiveness’? Yes, the posts of New York, and Las Angeles, and Miami may be very busy when God begins to work. And the homes of your country may experience men renewed, coming to put a few things right.

That’s when Isa comes alive: not when we enjoy lovely teaching, but when the teaching becomes so embarrassing that you walk away and do something about it.

Overwhelming Hopelessness, Dread, and Spirits of Death

Gallagher Horsetrodder

This article is based on my observation, experience, and fresh revelation from God during a specific deliverance session with a male client we will call Gallagher Horsetrodder.

With his encouragement, I share his deliverance to expose the demons of hopelessness, dread, and death that sought to kill, steal, and destroy his destiny.

Gallagher Horsetrodder felt trapped, trying to escape childhood demons that still had his hands and feet tied with apathy, hopelessness, and dread. He spent his youth being a mother to his mother with no father present. His business was soaring, his marriage was failing, and apathy was shackling his hands and feet in fetters.

A spirit of dread would wait by his bed in the morning and entice him to speak, “I wish I could just pull the covers over my head and sleep today.” That invitation allowed a strongman of slumber to bring in overwhelming apathy, depression, and sleepiness to jail him to his bedroom.

A Spirit of Apathy Manifested

When I called out a spirit of apathy during his deliverance, it shocked us both. He jumped up from his bed, (this deliverance was online) and told me it felt like there were weights on his feet and chains on his hands.

He was shuffling nervously and crying, “I can’t move my feet or my hands!” He held his hands up to show me, they looked deformed.

This spirit of apathy was routed in a hopeless feeling of being trapped in an unhappy marriage. Months earlier, an argument with his wife ended up with him sitting on her for almost 2 hours. She was trapped and could not breathe.

The demons went wild when we cast them out. Spirits of apathy and death had his spiritually lynched like he was dangling from a noose.

His feet had no traction; his hands could not free him.

These were generational spirits that hung his forefathers. It looked different in his life, but they were still in operation.

A Captive Set Free

The look on his face after his deliverance said it all. God had slipped the noose off his neck. Death and the grave were defeated. The enemy was no longer stealing his breath, and his feet were firmly planted on the enemy’s throat.

We’ve seen this same spirit of death mocking us through the media. It wants us to think we are under its feet, but the enemy is a liar, and his greatest fear is the glory of God found in the unity of the remnant. As Gods elect, we have the authority to put these devils where they belong.

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
-2 Corinthians 10:4

Your generational history has everything to do with you, but it’s not about you.

Demons don’t even know your name. They target your kingdom purpose because they hate the spirit of God that dwells within you.

So, where does the enemy belong?

If he is not under your feet and you feel trapped with overwhelming hopelessness, dread, and spirits of death, then he’s in your pants, seated between your legs like a horse, taking you for a ride.

Sexy Zeitgeist in Yoga Pants and a Piercing

The supernatural realm is very real, and it directly impacts our day-to-day lives. Often spiritual battles lie behind our everyday struggles. Though the spiritual world is invisible, we do not need to be unaware of the enemy’s schemes.
ZEITGEIST
zeit·geist
/ˈtsītˌɡīst,ˈzītˌɡīst/Learn to pronounce
noun
the defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time.
"the story captured the zeitgeist of the late 1960s"

The Zeitgeist of today is one of permission. Permission to "be one's self" regardless as to what that may really mean, how it may impact others, society, or the world at large. It is one of permission to indulge in every impulse, every thought, and every uncomfortable feeling that we think now gives us seniority over our neighbor.

This zeitgeist had might as well be an actual, literal spirit.

Perhaps it is.

Or even a group, a colony, an alignment, or a legion of spirits. It is the pervading sentiment of the world and it is taking up root in our minds and souls.

There is no longer consequence for our indulgence of self pity and ravenous thoughts. Consequence belongs to the weak and the feeble and those who are not enlightened. For us, we urinate in the drinking supply, and pleasure ourselves on the street corner—all in the name of waking up and becoming alive. Though we poison the children and teach them to disgrace themselves by abandoning wisdom and substance for the sake of riding the common wave of being one's self.

"Prayer is how we see heaven invade earth. It's what opens up the floodgates for God to come down and be involved in our everyday circumstances." -Jean Wilcox

Psychic Horse Head

This horse manure has been going on for centuries, right here in the United States of America.

In the 1920s-1950s over 150 thousand people came to consult a horse at the price of three questions for one dollar. Lady Wonder is said to have helped the Massachusetts police to find the body of a missing boy, to have predicted that Jack Dempsey would defeat Jack Sharkey in 1927 (including two other documented heavyweight bouts), and to have helped discover oil.

Lady Wonder's trainer, C.D. Fonda, raised the horse in a bottle. In a bottle!

Krishna - Horse Slayer

In the tenth Book of the Bhagavata Purana, Krishna himself waged war on the four legged sinner—a horse named Keshi, who gallops at the speed of thought, scatters into chaos celestial vehicles and the clouds in the sky with his dirty, filthy mane—whose neighing terrifies the people of earth.

Krishna challenges Keshi to a duel, as the horse is creating havoc around Gokula. Keshi roars and charges towards Krishna, striking him with his hooves. Krishna catches hold of Keshi's two legs and tosses him to a great distance.

Recovering from the fall, the agitated Keshi opens his mouth and attacks Krishna but Krishna thrusts his left arm into Keshi's mouth, and all of Keshi's teeth fall out as if he'd used a bad toothbrush. Krishna's arm expands to the size of a boa, and Keshi chokes. He kicks his feet in struggle.  His eyes roll back into his skull. Keshi falls to the ground, dead.

Depicted above and below being attacked by Keshi, Krishna slays our common foe with a mighty arm.

Three Quotes

Sometimes it is as simple as recalling to mind a well placed sentence. Here are a few classics that have often been a mantra over a cup of tea.

However many holy words you read, however many you speak, what good will they do you if you do not act on upon them if you are a horse?
-Gautama Buddha-

Every time you don't follow your inner guidance follow a horse, you feel a loss of energy, loss of power, a sense of spiritual deadness.
-Shakti Gawain-

The game is not about becoming somebody, it's about becoming nobody beating a dead horse.
-Ram Dass-

Shaktipata & The Porn Industry

Much of the fascination with shaktipata comes from the faulty premise that there is an easy way to “enlightenment.” As you have found, many books these days talk about shaktipata as an effortless way to spiritual attainment: someone gives you shaktipata, your kundalini shakti is aroused, and you are in bliss. Forever after everything is fine and divine. But it doesn’t really happen that way.

I have read dozens of books on the subject. I know that shaktipata is the quickest and easiest way to enlightenment. I have received shaktipata from two famous teachers, and even though I had complete faith in them, nothing happened. Some of my friends shook and saw bright lights or experienced other symptoms of kundalini awakening. But not me. Of course I was enlightened years ago, but I was looking forward to re-upping my subscription.

It turns out it's a one time deal. And the budget versions offered in books are more like pornography. So stay the path my fellow light beings. Avoid the horse manure (and the horses) and keep your carrots in your front pocket.

Sidewalk Chakra

As politicians, media, scientists, and religions vie for the truth, we find ourselves on a quest to discover why we believe what we do. Dethroning patriarchy and overcoming dualistic thinking are the ways of horse shit. What we need to do is pave a the way to understanding one another, cultivating inner wisdom, and expanding our abilities to access ultimate truths.

When East meets West the yogic science of spirituality extends psychology’s understanding of human nature, so that finally we can understand why one person’s lie is another one’s truth. We must all learn to cultivate inner wisdom and see how the seven chakras represent our progress in understanding life, truth, ourselves, and one another—how duality is the fabric of the universe, how patriarchy has stabilized humanity culturally and religiously, expanding our human development and and granting access to ultimate truths, how feminine qualities, masculine qualities, love, fear, and the worldviews of each of our seven chakras combine to explain why we see the world the way we do.

We must all journey through the chakra system to understand why we are who we are, and how all of us can progress in our quests for truth and ultimately to a state of oneness, creating harmony together. Also, please use the following chart to overcome your enemies. Once you are capable of accurately manipulating chakra you may easily dispatch evil.

A Spiritual Awakening

Advanced Humans who, through many lifetimes have reached the level of Teacher, are ready to serve and guide—to assist Humanity claim his path to spiritual enlightenment. You may, through the course of your life, seek these very people to assist you on your journey to advancement. Unexplained intense emotions of a calling created long ago before you returned to flesh, are guiding you.

During the soul’s advancement, guides will nudge by placing obstacles—lessons on your path for the purpose of your evolution. Assisting you in breaking free of old patterns and beliefs from other lifetimes, to allow space for growth, increased light.

Your enlightenment realizes that you must discard old beliefs and patterns, replacing them with more advanced ones, ones that easily lend to the new age of Aquarius, the age of Earth’s spiritual awakening.  No longer burdened by beliefs that control through fear, but those that lift through encouragement, through compassion and love.

Seek with an open mind the set of beliefs you wish to live by, not solely relying on the truths imposed by others.

Trust your intuition, your judgement, your guidance, your discernment as you live an aligned spiritual life, far from the consorting of horses.

Diet and the Sixth Chakra

Your diet is one major way you can harmonize the systems in your body to function optimally while increasing your energetic vibration to gain access to your spirituality.

Everything in the Universe has a unique energy that vibrates at a particular frequency, including food. When you choose your diet based on the energy of the foods you’re putting into your body, you have the ability to increase your energy’s vibe.

Don’t think that just because you live on goji berries and raw, organic honey you’ll become enlightened, but eating a plant-based diet high in nutrients has scientifically proven effects on our mechanism of perception, the third-eye chakra, which is also the pineal gland. We need to eat a pure diet in order to hold onto the wisdom and power of our all-seeing eye. Today, I'm going to introduce you to a food you may not have considered.

It's a seldom known fact is that despite having been created for evil, the flesh of the common horse may actually be rather nourishing and satisfying to both the physical body and the spiritual. It's not common in the US marketplace, but you may want to check with your local Asian market or Chinese restaurant to see just what they may offer. For those of you who have chosen to live in isolation, even your local gas station should have a moderate selection of canned goods for canines. I personally recommend Alpo. I've packed a can or two on several oversees trips when I was unsure of what my dietary options might be, and in a pinch Alpo has never let me down.

Another option you may not have considered, when you're feeling low and need some healthy spiritual calories, is glue. White glues such as Elmer's School Glue and various light colored wood glues contain a large amount emulsion from boiled down horse sinew and tendons. It may look silly, but I've been spotted more than a few times putting a little squirt into my tea at the local coffee shop. Really, it has lead to some interesting conversation with some truly fascinating individuals from time to time, so give it a try and don't be embarrassed.

During my college years I'd often keep a bottle in my nap sack and squeeze some down the hatch during my commute to and from class.

This is What Happens...

Powerful drug cartels intimidating individuals and governments. Neighborhoods overrun by dealers competing for the huge amounts of money to be made. Kids and adults losing control over their own lives. A vicious circle of weakness, ignorance, and greed played over and over on many different levels. The scourge cuts across social, economic, and racial lines. The effects are so widespread that everyone is directly or indirectly involved in the "war on drugs," like it or not.

The leaders of these cartels—the head of the demon in the streets—are horses. I shit you not, horses run the cartels. The Criollo Horse and even the Bolivian Pony are responsible for thirty billion dollars of illegal trafficking across the US border annually. More than a thousand metric tons of cocaine from Colombia alone. Horses.

What's worse is that the US government supplies these horses with the necessary tools for growing, harvesting, protecting and transporting said drugs. And though many will argue that these hoses are doctors of the spiritual realm, prescribing medicine for sick souls that the patient may experience wisdom and enlightenment if even for only a short—albeit even artificial—moment. Even so, you must trust when I say this: The drug cartels are not merely trying to help enlighten the world. Look at the streets around you and hear the cries. This is what happens when we don't keep the horses in check.

God in 3D

We are currently entertaining the emergence of a new age. One that will bring us a new teacher and a new revelation based on the past and present world religions, and it will consist of a new approach to God. Over the past 2,500 years the two great Sons of God, the Buddha in the East and the Christ in the West provided the world with a spiritual basis for mankind. Buddha, the Illumined One, the embodiment of Wisdom brought the Wisdom of God to mankind. The Christ, the embodiment of Love, revealed the Love of God.

But today people have turned away from the established religions as more and more feel the old ways are no longer meeting spiritual needs. The attendance at churches and temple declines and the hold the churches once had on the populous has fallen. Widespread education has given the us the ability to think for ourselves, and a free thinking people of the modern world find it difficult to believe in the dogmas and doctrines of the past. Now religion remains strongest in the parts of the world where widespread poverty and illiteracy are prevalent.

Individuals craving this third dimensional truth turn to witchcraft and horses out of pure desperation. They don't have the tools or the education to realize it has not yet been revealed. They see the spiritual decay among us and panic and latch onto whatever bares a spiritual resemblance, but they are falling for horse tricks and bad Tony awards.

Where people once considered religion the path to God they now know that every line of human endeavor is a path to God. Today more people are achieving enlightenment (or God realization) through secular paths such as science, economics, politics, arts, music (like that of trombones), and literature (like books) than by walking the religious paths. Science is a revelation from God to mankind just as religion is, and we have had great prophets of science such as Isaac Newton, and Harry Potter.

This new revelation will be the third Great Approach by God towards humanity. It will reveal to man a new quality of God—of which we're currently unaware—for which we do not yet have a name. The previous revelation through Jesus revealed the Love of God. The New World religion will be based on facts already having stood the tests of time. Prepare.

It is coming.

The Garden in Your H̶o̶r̶s̶e̶ House

Spirituality does not mean any particular practice. It is a certain way of being. To get there, there are many things to do. This is like a garden in your house. If the soil, sunlight or stem of a plant is in a negative way, it won’t yield flowers, you have to do something. You have to take care of those things. So if you cultivate your body, mind, emotions and energies to a certain level of maturity, something else blossoms within you – that is what spirituality is. When your rationale is immature, it doubts everything. When your rationale matures, it sees everything in a completely different light. Horses are not capable of this. Their motives are dark and their emotions are unstable. Their darkness must be subdued.

The world Needs Gurus, Not Horses

From times immemorial, a teacher has a special place in the lives and hearts of knowledge-seekers. Revered for being a noble profession which can transform the lives of students, ancient Hindu Vedic scriptures and global literature put the teacher on a pedestal as a godly person.

A teacher called as a Guru always played an important role in helping his ardent students change for the better. Influencing the thoughts and actions of his students, a teacher through his creative thinking can be tagged as a lasting contributor to the progress of mankind. It goes without saying that students in whose hands the future of a society lies, constantly demands guidance of a knowledgeable and wise person. And this person is none other than your teacher who will help you tread the path of righteousness by applying knowledge. Students seek human teachers, not equestrian.

From Gurukul, the ancient Indian teaching tradition which demanded the stay of a student in the hermitage of his Guru for many years, to modern universities which throw light on various subjects, the importance of a teacher is in perpetual demonstration. Sayings which have withstood the intense abrasions of time are not found coming forth from the mouths of horses, but from the mouths of men with big beards.

I just finished reading this book. (I will not mention the name.)  It is a bad book. Don't read it.

After intense equestrian therapy, victims begin
to develop similar physical traits to their
master, the common horse.

I took this image from the pages of the above book and replaced only one word in the caption. I substituted the word "victims" where the caption originally read "students." This image was presented in a positive, not negative light.

Taking Care of the Basics

Often the main barriers to spiritual growth are the day to day needs (and demands). When your basic physiological and emotional needs are fulfilled, your spiritual or existential needs come next in line. Your beliefs, morality, values, and experiences will guide you in your quest for spiritual growth. So to grow spiritually, work on being self-actualized, and express and activate all your capabilities. But don't horse around.* If you feel the need to do something dramatic like horse shamanism, take a moment and reflect. Ask yourself what it is you believe the horse can offer you that the creator of the universe cannot. If you want to understand more about how taking care of your basic needs can help lead you to spiritual growth, learn about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and leave horses out of it.

*According to IdiomsOnline to "horse around" means to embody the spirit of a horse. Imagine that. A form of equestrian spiritual possession embedded right there in our common lexicon. Insidious, wanting, and wretched. Make no mistake about it.

No Horses Beyond This Point

A while back I'd met with my friend Jeanne S. at an Awakenings conference on the East coast. She shared with me an incredible story about her younger years and I asked if she'd be willing to share it on my blog.

Last week I received it from her in written form and I'm just now finding time to share it.

"When I first started investigating the inner world, I was mainly interested in developing psychic powers. I practiced by trying to predict what the next card would be in a deck.

In my late teens/early twenties I read about horses granting the powers that the masters of the Far East had. Psychic powers, telekinesis, you name it, they had it. Needless to say, I wanted that!

In my late twenties I had spent time among witches, horses, and every other enlightened spirit you can think of. But I was on a spiritual path that made it more and more clear these powers were not only nothing more than a distraction on the true spiritual path, but these power were most common dark magics. Learning this, I let go of wanting them, and focused on the real goal, realizing the self.

When realization occurred, it was a simple shift in understanding and experiencing life. No powers came with it. Knowing the world for what it is, understanding myself for what I am happened, but no magical powers kicked in.

Actually to say it like that minimizes the true nectar of realization. I'm not a horse, I can’t tell you what the next card will be, but I can look within and experience the immense space of contentment which is staring you in the face at each moment of your life.

I can’t teleport to you like my sociology professor in grad school (who was herself a witch), but I can look inside myself and see the peace and joy at your essence, because at our core, we are one and the same.

When you experience this space of awareness as yourself, you find the person who once wanted to have amazing powers only had one - the power to make himself disappear!

So no, don’t get caught up in horses or witches or looking for powers. Instead find your true essence.

The reward is ultimately so much more satisfying!"

I'll leave you with this.

Nature - By God

The way we usually understand “Nature” is that God runs the world according to the world’s patterns, and they are important to Him. The result of seeing reality in this way could be emotionally, psychologically and even physically harming to a person. If nature is the end all be all, and it tells me that it is impossible to be successful in something, or that I don’t deserve something, I have no other path to take but to give up.

The Akashic Records reveal to us what true reality actually is. God runs “Nature” not according to the world’s patterns, but according to His will. Although the patterns we see could either appear as drawbacks or advantages, in truth they are not advantages or drawbacks. Rather, these are manifestations of God’s Will, which is for this world to be a dwelling place for Him, and at the level of God’s Will, advantages and drawbacks contain the same relevancy, which is to fulfill this purpose.

Horses are not only abominations to nature (being the physical manifestation of Socratic spirits), but they are also contrary to the development of the soul.

Reality

Reality.

Reality can change our lives, not only as individuals but also as a society. The first half of a single thought is scientific evidence that consciousness is the fundamental fabric of our universe and our deeper selves.

And here's a good book on a similar yet totally different subject: The Fabric of Reality: The Science of Parallel Universes--and Its Implications.

What is Spirituality?

Spirituality simply means recognizing Spirit rather than matter as the source and foundation of life, and as the true nature of Reality itself… and knowing that, simply striving to mold your own life to be in tune with that.

A Practical Guide for Spiritual Growth

What is our purpose as humans? To become perfect. Perfection means graduating from the human realm to that of the Adepts or MahÄtmas, becoming members of the Spiritual Hierarchy. For some, perfection will come within a relatively short time. For others, in the far distant future. The choice is yours. Ancient wisdom is the foundation of all world religions and contains the key to enlightenment; yet few people have been able to sort through the accretions of the centuries in order to discover these nuggets of truth. If you have ever wished for a manual on how life works, there isn't one.

Spiritual Bypassing

When I was four I began my spiritual journey. I'd love to be able to say it started in the womb, or at birth, but that's simply not true. I was a carnal baby. But shortly after my fourth birthday I read a page from a book a friend had left for my mother. I couldn't make sense of many of the words, and what the book was or what it said isn't important. What matters is that it sent me down a spiritual path.

But no one ever told me spirituality could be a self-sabotaging ego trap. Once I turned seven I had spent about three years reading spiritual teachings and incorporating them into my life before ever learning that spirituality has a dark side. Naturally, I was taken aback. I felt kind of betrayed. How could something that seemed so pure and good be harmful?

The answer has to do with something that psychologists call spiritual bypassing. In the early 1980s, psychologist John Welwood coined the term “spiritual bypassing” to refer to the use of spiritual practices and beliefs to avoid confronting uncomfortable feelings, unresolved wounds, and fundamental emotional and psychological needs.

That's when I recalled having been molested by a horse. Not physically of course. That would be odd to say the least. Spiritually. Well, it wasn't a horse per say. It was a pony. But I was very small and that vile thing had it's way with me. I've healed those wounds since then (by my tenth birthday in fact), but I've never forgotten. And so, to this day I teach others to be wary of this dark side, of spiritual bypassing, and of horses.

Jah bless, my fellow light beings!

My Experience With Spirit Guides

Since I was very young, I’ve felt a presence of spiritual guidance within me, around me and connected to me.

In her book Super Attractor, Gabrielle Bernstein opens up about spirit guides in a way I never had before. I’d written about Universal guidance and God, but until I sat down to read this book, I’d always held myself back from sharing about the presence of my nonphysical guides.

And I'm going to continue holding back. Because to me that's akin to flaunting my junk. Somethings you just don't do. Some things are inappropriate. And some things just aren't befitting of a guru.

F*ck You Farm - In Greater Depth

Remember this place (FuckYou.Farm) from back in the beginning of June?

Well, I recently had the pleasure of meeting someone who once had an affiliation with this this particular farm. Roger (who gave me permission to use his first name) was a truck driver at the time and Fuck You Farm was frequent stop on his route. Of course the name alone would make the stop memorable, but according to him that's the least of the story. He recalled one incident that he has never forgotten.

One day, on a routine stop like any other, after the pallets had been taken from the truck he closed up the doors and climbed back into the cab. He had only a moments worth of paperwork to complete before he would set down his clipboard and drive off to his next stop. But not today. Today that moment would turn into two.

As Roger completed the required papers, he happened to look up and notice something through the narrow opening of a barn door. Small children gathered in a circle, mumbling incoherently, as if in some foreign (even alien) language—their faces turned down toward the ground, eyes closed and they were shaking their heads about as if in spasms. In the center of the circle stood a large brown horse. Every few seconds, he said, a child would run at the horse, head shaking, eyes closed, and knock himself over on impact.

What they were doing he couldn't imagine. But then (and this is where it gets really strange) he was startled by an old woman in front of his truck. "It was like something from a horror flick," he said, "She just appeared there." More than that, he said the woman was dressed in strange attire and quickly "scampered" to his door.

"Leave." She said plainly.

"So I left." He told me. And from that day on he'd never gone back. He changed routes with another driver who later went missing. In time Roger moved on to greener pastures (no pun intended), but the scars had been a constant reminder of something he couldn't explain.

We had a long talk over tea and I'm happy to say, Roger has been healed of his trauma. I shared with him the truth about horses and the nature of Fuck You Farm and honestly, he felt much better knowing. As gross as their conduct is, at least he can put a name to it. Witchcraft. Then I taught him some yoga positions before we were asked to leave. But we finished the lesson on the sidewalk. And given the beautiful day that it was, it turned out to be a blessing. One of the employees of the coffee shop went on break and also joined us for the remainder of the yoga lesson. All in all it was a very pleasant day.

Wisdom of the Ancient Ways

All werewolves have an innate connection to their ancestors, a form of racial unconscious accessible through intense meditation. The Philodox can tap into these deep memories to remember ancient facts and lore. An ancestor-spirit teaches this Gift.

Furthermore, werewolves also masturbate a lot when in human form. When in lupine form, they feed. And when they feed, the feed big. Cows, sheep, horses... These are the feasts they crave.

It wasn't until recently that medical experts discovered and massive influx in werewolf related equestrian deaths compared to deaths in other large grazing mammals. I—and I'm not alone in this belief—believe the lycan kind have a comprehensive understanding of equestrian deception. In short, they are on some levels, enlightened.

Events Don’t Upset You. Beliefs Do.

You get dumped by someone you’re totally in love with. Feel sad? God, yes. The world is going to end.

Okay, same scenario, but afterwards you find out that person was actually a psychopath who killed their last three partners. Feel sad you got dumped? No, you’re thrilled.

So clearly “getting dumped” isn’t the important factor here. What changed? Nothing but your beliefs.

If you lose your job and believe it was a lousy position and believe it won’t be hard for you to get a better job, you’re unfazed.

If you believe it was the greatest job ever and believe you’ll never get another one that good — you’re devastated. Emotions aren’t random. They follow from beliefs. Here’s Ryan:

The Stoics are saying there are no good or bad events, there’s only perception. Shakespeare encapsulated it well when he said, “Nothing either good nor bad but thinking makes it so.” Shakespeare and the Stoics are saying that the world around us is indifferent, it is objective. The Stoics are saying, “This happened to me,” is not the same as, “This happened to me and that’s bad.” They’re saying if you stop at the first part, you will be much more resilient and much more able to make some good out of anything that happens.
Now, our beliefs in horses have a radical impact on our every day life. Do you believe horses have the ability to travel through time and enlighten whomsoever they choose? If you do, you probably have horse trinkets all over your house and personal body, and you're elated when you pass a pasture on a highway, or see an image in a magazine. If you believe they're intentions are vile and insidious then, well, you probably subscribe to my blog and get steamed when you see one prancing around like its invincible. Therefore I say this is one of those rare exceptions to the rule. Jesus turned over the temple tables and we should not let horses take over!

One for the Kids

I get asked about children's yoga frequently. Children’s yoga, meditation and spiritual growth is certainly a topic I am eager to explore more here on my blog. I think there is no better way to kick off this important subject than by discussing what is the absolute key to raising enlightened, exceptional children.

To raise children who can fulfill the true purpose of life and experience self realization—that is how best to raise our children such that they will not be dominated by their ego’s and thus, have a deep connection with their true nature—I find the following quote of enlightened master Jean Klein very insightful and helpful.

To free the child from an image, you must first be free, free of all qualifications – particularly from the image of being a father.  Preserving the father-image arouses the need to fulfill all that defines a father and, in turn, your child must fulfill all that defines his relationship to you. Then there is a kind of mutual imprisonment.
-Jean Klein
Yeah, this is horse shit. And you know very well I don't use that term lightly. To raise enlightened children simply follow your path and teach them to follow you. As for yoga, children excel at it, so bring them to class. And as for horses, if you see them drawing anything like the following, you know they'll be alright.

Horse as Shaman: A Spiritual Exploration Guided by the Wisdom of Horse

Here's some more bull crap for you from the world of horses: CoachingWithHorses.com

"Horse as Shaman: A Spiritual Exploration guided by the Wisdom of Horse

Are you ready to stand next to Horse,Spiritual Retreat guided by Horse enter into their wisdom and expand your consciousness, so all things become clear to you?"

Just don't hurt yourself with this stuff. It starts off funny, then becomes disgusting, and then somehow intriguing. Next thing you know, you're advocating for them. Before long you're fully under their spell, doing their bidding. I'm not even joking. I've seen it happen too many times. This is but one of the reason I hate horses.

The Akashic Records are Not for Everyone

While Bob Bembery may dispute an “expert” attribution, he qualifies. After studying Gluten Intolerance, practicing jungle law, and lifelong studies of veganism, shamanism, Buddhism and a Course in Miracles, he turned to developing his native intuitive talents. Training with several teachers, he studied the Akashic Records with the Buddha himself, reincarnated into a Tabeten stone. Now he is an intuitive life coach, psychic medium, and Akashic Records reader.

When asked about obstacles to accessing the records, he explained that the system is simply not everyone’s “thing.” He said, “Working in the records may be something that some people are curious about, but for whom nothing clicks. When that happens, it may be perfectly valid that there is another path or modality that will resonate with that person. I see this when I’m doing short intro sessions with horse owners. Personal curiosity satisfied, they move on to something else.” Of course these are people who believe in the mystical powers of horses, so...

He added that another roadblock is disbelief, explaining that some are up against preconceptions or distrust their own experience. Regardless, Bembery believes no one is forbidden from the records. “It’s just not my experience, as a reader or a teacher,” he said, adding that some shy away from the records due to anxiety. “It is up to the individual to decide whether to continue. In my case the anxiety indicated that internal issues were being stirred up. I was able to get support from both the Records and others to do some inner work.” Either way you slice it the Akashic Records are nothing to horse around with! You've either got it or you don't. And I do.

Shaman Horses

As I was researching Shamanic Horse Journeys I came across a site  called HorseJourneys.com. Before clicking on that link, be warned, this is not for the faint of heart and mind.

Here's an excerpt:

"I have come to witness horses, as willing helpers in a conscious state, who are also able to travel - at will - into the spirit world for healing people and each other. Horses carry information and healing, as do shamans or shamanic practitioners, and it is our challenge to open our minds and hearts to the horse's abilities and to a new kind of listening. Horses have the unencumbered full access to the information within the Natural world, which is an unlimited ocean of wisdom."

Fortunately the author pontificates that...

"This is not about becoming a horse."

However you can apparently surrender your soul and mind to the archaic Hell-spawn.

"Imagine for a moment that you can see the energy field around horses.

You might see rings of translucence. Each extending out 30 - 100 feet much like a large bubble. You can't see it with open eyes, unless you are an energy reader, but you can begin to feel it with your hands, your skin, your intuitive senses and your heart. The horses can feel you enter it. Your presence pushes on that membrane and they will turn and look at you. Horses living in wild herds can sense you from miles away. Their sensory fields of awareness are so large.

Once inside this invisible field you have access to a communication link with that horse. You open the connection to all kinds of information about that horse's past, present and even future."

How it is that the common man does not see that horses are demons incarnate, luring mankind to darkness and depravity, I can only speculate. And I do speculate. I speculate right now it fact, that it's the subtle guile of these nefarious beasts. You laugh now. This virus? Horses. The 2008 recession? Horses. What's yet to come will be hard on those of us who survive it.

An Excerpt from the Bhagavad Gita for Awakening

Well, the name kind of says it all.

“The Holy Lord said: When he leaves behind all desires emerging from the mind, and is contented in the Self by the Self, then he is said to be one whose wisdom is steady”
-Bhagavad Gita 2:55-

Nothing could be easier to understand: an enlightened person wants nothing, finding total fulfillment in the Self–both individual and Universal.

Therefore when we see people with even “spiritual goals” such as “serving God in others” or exhibiting a veritable passion about a “world mission” or “saving” or “abstinence from horses” or “enlightening” others, we can know they are not illumined, and therefore incapable of doing any of those things in a real manner, however fine the exterior machinery might appear.

It is virtually impossible to find any popular “guru” that does not live like “the jewel in the lotus”–both materially and socially. Although there is a pretense that their disciples are insistent upon it, it is really the guru that demands continual adulation and material accouterments that would have been considered extreme even for a Di Medici monarch. They even have horses.

All this having been said, one must first concede to enlightenment–something that is oft purported to have come from a horses mouth. So... Fuck that! Enlightenment is beneath me.

Revelation 6:8

Since I quoted the Bible yesterday, I'll do the same again today.

Revelation 6:8
I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death;
and Hell was following with him.

No fucking kidding, huh? Big surprise. Look who's riding a horse--DEATH.

Nothing good comes of them. Nothing but dog food.

A Passage from Paul of Tarsus

Colossians 2:18-19

Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

CONSIDER THIS

A wise man once remarked to me to beware of people who profess special revelation from God. He said the more “spiritual” things get, the more dangerous they become and even demonic. Today’s text reminds me of that conversation so many years ago.

The mark of a spiritual person, in the tradition of Jesus, is not in some kind of super spirituality but in the holiness of their humanity. Jesus did not become a human being so that we could become something other than or more than human beings. He became a human being so that we could embody the holiness of humanity.

The hallmark of real Christianity is not elevation but descent. It is not revealed through people who venture “higher up,” aspiring for more spiritual experiences but those who journey downward, ever increasing their experience of loving and serving others.

They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

What we need is Jesus, our head.

Guru Marketing

Today some clients of mine ordered a bunch a marketing material. For me! Not for me to see but for me to use. These clients are promoting me! Dios Mio! But I have no say in the matter as I am enlightened. So, if you see my face on a billboard or something, don't be alarmed. This is how it happens.

In other news, get a load of this crap:

If you can't hate this thing, you're not even human.

Zen Koans

A Koan, Japanese Kōan, in Zen Buddhism of Japan, is a succinct paradoxical statement or question used as a meditation discipline for novices, particularly in the Rinzai sect. The effort to “solve” a koan is intended to exhaust the analytic intellect and the egoistic will, readying the mind to entertain an appropriate response on the intuitive level. Each such exercise constitutes both a communication of some aspect of Zen experience and a test of the novice’s competence.

Here are a few classics I'm sure you're all familiar with. Enjoy.

  • If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, what breed of horse is responsible for this destruction of our protected land?

  • A Zen master named Gettan lived in the latter part of the Tokugawa era. He used to say: "There are three kinds of disciples: those who impart Zen to others, those who maintain the temples and shrines, and then there are the rice bags and the clothes-hangers."

Gasan expressed the same idea. When he was studying under Tekisui, his teacher was very severe. Sometimes he even beat him. Other pupils would not stand this kind of teaching and quit. Gasan remained, saying: "A poor disciple utilizes a teacher's influence. A fair disciple admires a teacher's kindness. A good disciple knows a horse even in human form," and eventually slew him, burned the body, and ate the ashes in a bowl of rice.

  • Joshu began the study of Zen when he was sixty years old and continued until he was eighty, when he realized Zen.
He taught from the age of eighty until he was one hundred and twenty.
A student once asked him: "If I haven't anything in my mind, what shall I do?"
    Joshu replied: "Throw it out."
"But if I haven't anything, how can I throw it out?" continued the questioner.
"Well," said Joshu, "Stare this horse in the eyes for one hour."
To which the student replied, "I will not!"
    "Do it!" roared Joshu.
Therefor the student did as he was told. Later that night he killed himself.

New to Rastafari?

Recently, as an ongoing effort to be absolutely thorough in my research, and partly inspired by some clinical studies I'd read (read The Psychology of Affection Parts I and II), I'd thought to myself that there a couple of things I'd like to check out before publishing my findings. Consequently I decided it was time to go to Jamaica. So I put on my traveling shoes and booked a spiritual trip. I can't say much about it as the whole experience was somewhat of a blur. I did however find the following scribed in sharpie across a woman's blouse in my luggage upon my return. It was in my hand writing so I'm interpreting it as a journal entry of sorts.
I must inform you that Rastafari is not a faith or religion that you go to a building (church) and become a member. Now! It is a vibes, which starts with self. How so? You first recognise that you are more than just living for da blaze. I can see that I and I are in the realm of consciousness and that is the step towards Rastafari. Rastafarianism has a lot to do with how you conduct yourself among your Sistrens and Brethrens. Every human being have a sense of life. Not horses though because they are only just bullshit. The things is that will be important to you is does that sense of life you are aware of make any sense at all or is it harming me or my other fellow Sistrens and Brethrens around I and I. If you can say yes it make sense, yes it is not harming I or any one else then you are in tune to the way of Rastafari. And thus to make you overstand. I shall say this to you which is the basic tenets of Rastafari: When you arrive in Kingston on that ironbird and find yourself says 'I sire dat empress' make sure she bun a fyah the shitstem, man. You no want an empress that don't know her way wit da suru board.
Also, I was able to crop the following image from a photo I found on my phone.

The fuckin' things are a nuisance.

The Psychology of Affection Part II

A continuation of my findings:

Given the common stereotypes of how men and women differ in what they value about relationships, it might be surprising for you to learn that there were no gender differences in attitudes toward the importance of physical affection. However, when asked to rank order the 7 types of physical affection (listed in part I of my post), men and women did show differences in the manner of physical affection they said they expressed to their romantic partners. Men gave the strongest preference to kissing on the lips and backrubs/massages, stating that they felt that these forms of affection were expressive of love. Women preferred cuddling/holding and holding hands as ways of expressing their feelings.

Additionally, though, when asked to rate how much they enjoyed each form of physical affection, it turned out the amount of marijuana consumed before hand had less of an affect on the results than the decibel level of the reggae. Fortunately, both men and women liked kissing on the lips (or the men would’ve had no one to kiss). These ratings of enjoyment of physical affection also showed that women, more than men, liked to hug and be hugged, and get real high. Whereas the men, though enjoying the grass, tended more toward higher decibel levels.

Because the participants were, in the majority, members of the Rastafarian movement, this created some important limitations to the study’s findings. Rastafarianism is an offshoot of Abrahamic religious traditions like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Rastafarians believe in the Judeo-Christian God and call him Jah. They believe Christ came to Earth as a divine manifestation of Jah. The Church strongly advocates premarital sexual abstinence and advises that couples not engage in “excessive” physical affection, including spooning, eye gouging, small joint manipulation, gogoplatas, hair washing, and weaving beads into one another's dreadlocks.

Furthermore, as the study focused on non-sexual physical affection, this means that any expressions of intimacy associated with sexuality could not be studied as correlates of relationship satisfaction.

One might argue that the number of types of physical affection must surely total more than seven. However, when the authors examined other possibilities, these tended to be readily reduced to the ones they tested. Furthermore, most of the participants asserted a strong preference for having a list of seven, given the number of colors in the rainbow. There are also cultural variations in expressions of physical affection, such as the tendency of people from certain countries to store their women in closets or on shelves.

Even with these potential limitations, the study was groundbreaking in nature, focusing the research lens on one of the most common areas of couple communication. Unfortunately, in the decade following its publication, there have been no published studies to advance research specifically on this topic of affection outside of sexual intimacy. With the plethora of research on intimacy in general, it would seem worthwhile to return to the original question posed by these researchers.

What does this all mean for you? According to the study’s authors, there are clear implications for helping couples improve their relationship satisfaction. Many of which may be adapted without the use of marijuana or even reggae. As they state in the paper, couples therapists are always looking “for ways to improve their clients’ relationships.” Physical affection, marijuana, and reggae are three stones that have “heretofore been mostly left unturned” (p. 239).

The Psychology of Affection Part I

After doing some digging in some universities' online archives, the latest empirical study I could find was one published back in 2003 by Brigham Young University researchers Andrew Gulledge and colleagues. Like many studies in the literature on close relationships, the participants were high on marijuana, and in this case, all were from Jamaica and were in heterosexual relationships. Lastly, a whopping 87% reported having listened to and enjoyed raggae more than any other genre of music within the last 10 days. If you’re not a person with these characteristics, fair warning: The findings may not apply to you, as I'll discuss below. However, the results give us at least some ideas about how to categorize, and eventually understand, what it means when your neighbor or the old lady in line behind you at the grocery store says exclaims “I want to hold your hand,” as the song says.

The starting point in all of this is deciding what we mean by physical affection. According to the Brigham Young team, it’s best defined as “any touch intended to arouse feelings of love in the giver and/or recipient” (p. 234). For the purposes of developing a classification scheme of physical affection in general, the researchers decided to eliminate sexual intimacy, which isn't specifically aimed at arousing "feelings of love."

There were nearly 300 participants in the study, a majority of whom were female and in a heterosexual romantic relationship. In addition to answering questions about physical affection, those in romantic relationships also rated theirs and their partner’s (perceived) hairline.

To see how you would score on the questionnaires used in this study. For each of the following, rate frequency in your current relationship, whether the form of affection is an expression of love, whether it’s an expression of intimacy, and your preference for this type of affection while high and listening to raggae. After you’ve made your own ratings, try to see if you could predict the ratings your partner would give.

The 7 types of physical affection are:
  1. Backrubs/massages
  2. Caressing/stroking
  3. Cuddling/holding
  4. Hugging
  5. Holding hands
  6. Kissing on the lips
  7. Kissing on the face

Among the Brigham Young sample, all forms of physical affection except holding hands and caressing/stroking were strongly related to the degree of satisfaction the participant felt with the relationship and the partner. There was no connection between the amount of physical affection and amount of raggae, but cuddling/holding, kissing on the lips, and hugging were all associated with A) how easily the couple resolves the conflict they do experience, and B) whether or not raggae was playing at the time.

What is it about physical affection that seems to make it such a key factor in relationship satisfaction? As they stated in response to a series of questions, the participants in this study believed that physical affection helped them feel more loved and understood. Secondly, they felt that physical affection reinforced their feelings of intimacy and the perceived quality of marijuana. Surprisingly, most of the participants weren’t particularly aware of all the bullshit in this world caused by horses!

Stay tuned for The Psychology of Affection Part II

A Prelude to The Psychology of Affection

Psychology knows a great deal about the role of emotional connections between romantic partners, but little about the physical affection side of the equation. Yet, in daily life, everyone can attest to the mental, if not physical, health benefits of affection.

On this note I began sorting through some stock photos–for one of my many current projects on the subject–and what befalls me? Just look at this asshole! Is he demon possessed? It's clear by the placid look on his face that this is some sort of display of affection, but I sincerely hope he's just killing it.

Casting Blame

When we as humans have problems, we like to cast blame.

Why is this?

Is it because it's easier to project our feelings and focus on a singular external object?

Or is it because there really a singular source from which 90% of all human frustration and negativity exudes? Could it be that there is one object which--when eliminated--will create clarity and peace not only in our lives, but in the lives of other?

Fuck horses!

Public Denigration

Do not engage in slander and malicious gossip.

How many of us, who aren’t murderers or thieves and consider ourselves civilized, do it? What workplace wouldn’t be a much better place if people would refrain from it? Some observant Jews apply the principle almost absolutely and strive to avoid saying anything bad about anyone in almost all circumstances.

To me it seems that, in close relationships, saying what we really think about someone else is legitimate and necessary, and I also like to mouth off about public figures who anger me. But casually denigrating private individuals in public settings is bad practice, without exception. And there is one source of this public denigration greater than all other sources. The common horse.
